Yoga Nidra - Healing Through Relaxation and Meditation
If you have ever practiced yoga, you are likely familiar with Savasana or corpse pose. This is a classical relaxation posture that is incorporated into every yoga class. Additionally, there is a deeper relaxation practice known as Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra literally translates as Yogic Sleep although we don’t actually sleep during the practice. In reality, it’s “an expanded awareness while in a state of deep relaxation”.
This extended relaxation and guided meditation practice is used for healing at the physical, emotional and spiritual levels.
